How to Install Kodi on Fire Stick, Stream Live TV, and Install The Latest Add-Ons (Exodus, Genesis, Soundplex, Hulu Plus Lots more!)

Kodi is free, open-source software designed specifically with home entertainment in mind – and it’s perfect if you’re a fan of movies, sports, films and TV shows. Although it was originally created for the Microsoft Xbox and called Xbox Media Center (XBMC), Kodi has continued to evolve – spawning a community of its own.

Unlike services like Chromecast or Plex, Kodi is managed by the non-profit XBMC Foundation, and it’s constantly being modified and upgraded by countless of coders around the world. Since its creation in 2003, Kodi has been shaped by more than 500 software developers and more than 200 translators. That means you can now customize by installing addons or builds, and they’re totally free, too. And it’s not just for laptops; Kodi can now work on everything from a smartphone to an Amazon Fire TV Stick.

Many addons have either moved to new repos and/or have been revamped or abandoned for good. With all the changes happening lately, it’s important to ensure your system is up to date and not cluttered with old addons and outdated repos – especially on a low memory device such as a Fire Stick.

Most of you already use autocleaning tools that help detect old sources. Still, it is always good to know how to manually remove these sources, so that you can ensure your system runs smoothly.

Please remember to delete old addons and repos before adding new ones.

  1. uggghhhh! I'm able to follow you up to certain point and then when I get to "zip" it looks different. I'm trying to uninstall?delete repos from my Amazon Firestick 2 where I have Kodi installed. I've only successfully installed 2 add ons and the rest don't work and I can't figure out how to delete them with remote control. Kodi in my PC seems to have a different "face"

  2. I installed 17.6 it took my Android apps from my Firestick and added them to Kodi I want to remove them. Can you tell me how I see no options like the older versions. Thanks so much.

  3. Duuuude YES! Thank you so much. This worked so easily on my xbox one when I got halfway through installing a build that wasn't going to work cause it was for 18.2 and I have 18.1 so I wanted to get rid of the wizard for it.

  4. A couple of questions. What is it that actually gets turned off, the add-on itself or the repository or the source? In other words, who deactivates what? Thanks for the instructions in the video, very clear.
