Ever notice that some movies are missing from your code, installation, although they are there on your hard drive or server, I’m, going to show you how to find out which ones the easy way. So we’re gonna head to system add-ons install from repository video add-ons.
I’m gonna quickly jump to missing movies. So what is add-on? Does it compares the movies that are in your kodi library to what those are available on your hard drive or server? So let’s, install it first downloading.
Now it ‘ S now enabled I could actually run from here. As you see open well, I’m gonna back out again to the main menu go to videos, add-ons missing movies. So I want to know the missing movies.
So I’m gonna hit enter so now, comparing the files available to what is in Kodi library, and it will show you a list of the movies that are missing depending on the size and your network. It might take a while, as you see here it’s.
The boy which cuckoo clock heart is missing, which is correct because I couldn’t find it in my library. So I’m now gonna do is go to the movie database and try to find this movie and see what it should be, because it could be a typo, a mismatch in the year.
Okay, as you see here, this is the file my server it’s here, so I’m gonna try to find it you now here it is: it’s apparently Jack and the cuckoo clock heart in 2013. So it does match. So what I’m gonna do now is rename the file I kind of copy it.
So I now rename the folder, so I’m gonna do the same with the actual movie file. Okay, that’s, it so back to Kodi itself. As you see here, there are several others missing. Don’t Matt pay too much attention about these IDE files, so just find the the other ones on your server.
Go through the same process back out again get your movies update library. So what you’ll, see now here in the top right corner, is that it should show you Jack and a cuckoo clock at some point you there.
It is so once it’s done scanning, it will automatically update the movie library and then you will be able to actually find a movie as it should be, and here it is it’s, Jack and the cuckoo clock. So this way this is a way on finding what movies are missing from your library.

Kodi is free, open-source software designed specifically with home entertainment in mind – and it’s perfect if you’re a fan of movies, sports, films and TV shows. Although it was originally created for the Microsoft Xbox and called Xbox Media Center (XBMC), Kodi has continued to evolve – spawning a community of its own.
Unlike services like Chromecast or Plex, Kodi is managed by the non-profit XBMC Foundation, and it’s constantly being modified and upgraded by countless of coders around the world. Since its creation in 2003, Kodi has been shaped by more than 500 software developers and more than 200 translators. That means you can now customize by installing addons or builds, and they’re totally free, too. And it’s not just for laptops; Kodi can now work on everything from a smartphone to an Amazon Fire TV Stick.
