How to Install Kodi on Fire Stick, Stream Live TV, and Install The Latest Add-Ons (Exodus, Genesis, Soundplex, Hulu Plus Lots more!)

Kodi is free, open-source software designed specifically with home entertainment in mind – and it’s perfect if you’re a fan of movies, sports, films and TV shows. Although it was originally created for the Microsoft Xbox and called Xbox Media Center (XBMC), Kodi has continued to evolve – spawning a community of its own.

Unlike services like Chromecast or Plex, Kodi is managed by the non-profit XBMC Foundation, and it’s constantly being modified and upgraded by countless of coders around the world. Since its creation in 2003, Kodi has been shaped by more than 500 software developers and more than 200 translators. That means you can now customize by installing addons or builds, and they’re totally free, too. And it’s not just for laptops; Kodi can now work on everything from a smartphone to an Amazon Fire TV Stick.

  1. Hi Troypoint. Switched from expressvpn to ipvanish and buffering issues reduced significantly overnight. Now trialing recommended protocol settings. All appears positive. Interesting why ipvanish works significantly better on firestick 4k? Thanks.

  2. When ever i try to adjust any of the above mentioned settings i get a "Connection configuration has changed. Do you want to reset the connection to apply changes? Reconnect or Cancel" when i click reconnect it just pops back up with the same message. Any suggestions? Thanks again for the great videos!

  3. Thanks for your content…very helpful. I have noticed that I was getting high speeds one day and single digits another. Even after trying different setting. I’ve heard you can get throttled by your internet provider. Is this true? How can I fix/prevent this? I thought running IPvanish would prevent outsiders seeing what I do.

  4. I've tried using the open vpn protocol now with, open tcp, port 8843. Only getting 21 mbps and like 0.08 upload. I have a active ticket open for ipvanish due to slow speeds. My isp is Spectrum Internet with 200 mbps and 12mbps upload. Any other suggestions?

  5. The new protocol does not help me at all. I have gigabit through spectrum but I usually get about 65 Mbit dls when using IPVanish. Spectrum throws me into a temporary quarantine if I turn off IPVanish almost instantly. My optimum settings are: OpenVPN using TCP not UDP.

  6. I been using a firestick 4k and IPVanishVPN for several years. I never really looked into the settings (other than the usual ones). I watched your video and tried to mirror what you did. I could only find one port setting, 3074. Also, when I checked my internet speed with Analiti I found that when I checked the speed decreased by 90%. My internet usually runs at 130-150 upload and 10 download. Am I doing something wrong. Lastly, your site is totally outstanding.

  7. I dont know what Im doing wrong but I cant get higher than a 28 down and I have Spectrum 400 Mbps. I have tried all three protocols and have changed from best available server to selecting the lowest ping. I have also tried all 3 ports. I do have split tunneling for netflix, hulu, and prime video. Should I turn this off on these apps. Also, how long do servers usually last when selecting the ping? Oh and BTW I am connected with an ethernet cable and using a Buzz Box XRS 4500 android box

  8. I'm using the 4k stick. Analitit is not offered on my search. Only the other speed test apps you are showing on your screen next to Analiti. The next most used app of the bunch is Internet Speed Test (white background and red letters) with 6074 reviews and 4 stars.

  9. OpenVpn, OpenVpn (TCP), port 1149 works best for me. I'm getting around 119 down and approx 18 up. Previously I was only getting a third of this. I also set my location to the closest instead of best available. I appreciate the info. Thanks.

  10. Thank you for this. I was having poor download speeds before Chicago. Now I will try out your recommendation. I use Windscribe and found better download speeds.
Will tweak and report later. Thanks.
